Stuart ForsterWhen he’s not adding new posts to this site, he’s usually out on the road, looking for new stories, or writing them.

Stuart was named Journalist of the Year at the Holland Press Awards of 2015 and 2016, becoming the first person to retain the prestigious title.

In March 2017, Stuart won the British Annual Canada Travel Award (known as the BACTAs in the travel industry) for Best Online Coverage. That was for the Polar Bear Safari in Manitoba article published here on Go Eat Do. In 2016 his feature Lunenburg – Canada’s Most Colourful Town, published by Rough Guides, meant he was a finalist for the same award.

He was shortlisted for the Travel Blogger and Vlogger of the Year award at the 2015 and 2016 Travel Media Awards. Stuart was also a finalist in the Travel Trade Feature of the Year category in 2015.

Additionally, he was also one of three writers shortlisted for the Independent Blogger of the Year accolade at The Comment Awards 2015.

Stuart is a native of North East England and has lived in Germany, India and Portugal. His love of the Netherlands began as a history student experiencing the country on exchange at the University of Leiden.

He is a trained photographer and, when he’s not writing or photographing food, is a passionate cook.

He’s probably gearing up for his next adventure right now. In addition to the Go Eat Do social media feeds you can also follow @stuartforster
