Silverback mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) living wild on the Virunga Mountain Range in the Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda. This is Guhonda leader of the Sabyinyo Group. The Volcanoes National Park was gazetted in 1925 and is the home to 20 groups of gorillas, a number of which are habituated and can be observed by visitors during gorilla trekking.
