Awards for Stuart Forster
I’m pleased to say that I’m one of those people who can describe themselves as an award-winning travel writer and journalist.
In March 2020 I was named Travel Writer of the Decade in the Netherlands Press Awards. I hope to prove myself worthy of such a huge accolade throughout the 2020s. A feature published by The Mail on Sunday was also shortlisted in the awards’ Best Print Feature category.
During November 2020 I was shortlisted for two blogging awards. One was the British Guild of Travel Writers’ Travel Blogger of the Year award. The other was the Outstanding Blog Post of the Year award.
Journalist of the Year
Stories published here on on Go Eat Do were a contributing factor in me being named Journalist of the Year at the Holland Press Awards of 2015, 2016 and 2019.
In 2017 I was presented with the Best City Article award at the Holland Press Awards, for a feature about Rotterdam. In 2018 I was named Influencer of Year at those awards.
BACTA for Best Online Coverage
I was also the winner of British Annual Canada Travel Award for Best Online Coverage in 2017, after being a runner-up for that award during 2016.
Travel Media Awards finalist
In addition to winning awards, I have been a runner-up on several occasions. For example, I was shortlisted for Travel Blogger/Vlogger of the Year at the Travel Media Awards of 2015, 2016 and 2019.
In 2017 I was a finalist in the Travel Blogger of the Year (the title was different that year) and Trade Writer of the Year categories of the Travel Media Awards.
Travel Blogger of the Year shortlistings
During 2015 and 2019 I was shortlisted for the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) Travel Blogger of the Year award. In 2015 I was one of the three finalists for the Independent Blogger of the Year accolade at The Comment Awards.
In 2017 and 2019 I was also a finalist for the Travel Blogger of the Year category of the British Guild of Travel Writers annual awards. In 2020 I repeated that achievement and was also named a finalist for the Outstanding Blog Post of the Year award.
