Work with me

Work with me

As a freelance writer I welcome contact from editors of magazines, newspapers and websites looking to commission features, news articles and content.

If you would like me to work for you then please get in touch to discuss potential projects.

So, if you are interested, please drop me a quick note to say hello and we can take things from there. Alternatively, feel free to call me on 07947 587136 (that’s +44 7947 587136 if you are based outside of the UK).

I can send you links to work that has been published online and PDFs of features that have appeared in newspapers and magazines.

Working with PRs and commercial entities

Likewise, if you are a PR, work for a tourist board or represent a commercial entity such as a hotel, restaurant or a product that you think would be of interest to me for publication on Go Eat Do or elsewhere, please get in touch. I love hearing about new openings, potential story angles and exploring opportunities, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

I’m always prepared to recommend products and places that impress me plus those that I believe to be of high quality. Of course, I will apply transparency about any working relationship in my posts.

You may wish to send travel and food related clothing, equipment or books in order for me to publish reviews here on Go Eat Do. If so, please dispatch products to me at the following postal address:

Sponsored content and guest posts

If you want me to write a sponsored post for you, with links back to your product or brand, then I will do so with full disclosure. I reserve the right to discretion (I won’t recommend products that fail to make a positive impression on me). My fee for sponsored posts starts at £300.

Perhaps you’d like to commission me to write a guest post for your company, blog or website? I do that for a number of commercial clients as a copywriter. By all means drop me a line to discuss your requirements – along with the scope of the project and timescale – and hopefully we can make things happen.

Please don’t forget that Go Eat Do is about experiences that I have had and can wholeheartedly recommend. Press releases are often good for providing me with an overview of whatever you may be promoting but I don’t create copy from them. The reviews you read on this site are ones I have had and believe other people would appreciate and enjoy.

If you want to provide sponsorship or place an advert on Go Eat Do please get in touch to discuss your wishes and potential opportunities.

Writing guest posts for Go Eat Do

Please note that I do not accept guest posts for publication on Go Eat Do.

Cooperation with fellow bloggers

If you are interested in cooperating to amplify posts then please get in touch to discuss how we can do that.

Commissioning my photography services

My photography has been published in all of the UK’s national newspapers plus many magazines and websites.

As the director of Why Eye Photography, a company established in 2008, I can offer you expertise in travel, food and portrait photography.

My half-day fee starts at £400 plus expenses. I am available for short-term assignments in the Sunderland, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Durham and elsewhere in the north-east of England. Longer projects, elsewhere in the United Kingdom and beyond, are also of interest to me.

I undertake event and editorial photography, and welcome contact from editors, companies and individuals seeking images.
